For 4+/7+/11+/SATs/KS3 and GCSE (1:1 or group - online or Face to Face) through delivering exceptional service to students and their parents in and around the East Dulwich area (Peckham, Camberwell, Herne Hill, Dulwich, Forest Hill, Nunhead) and further afield for 4+, 7+, 11+, SATs, GCSEs and general tutoring for confidence building, catch up and challenge where needed.
We are Claire and Michael a small family tutoring business and as such we recognise the potential in each one of our students. With a personalised approach - starting with face to face initial assessments we have seen our students’ test scores and grades consistently rise. We are patient, adaptable, and professional tutors (with full enhanced DBS) and teaching qualifications up to Masters Level we are ready to help your child reach your/their goals.

We know how difficult it can be to find a reliable teacher that focuses on test preparation. Teachers need to be able to motivate and guide students to success. As experienced tutors (sixty years teaching experience combined) we can identify students’ problem areas and work with them in positive, constructive ways to achieve success. We design our lessons according to our students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities.

Group Lessons
Most students do 1:1 sessions, however we also increasingly offer Group Sessions, which we find work well for Creative Writing, Exam Masterclasses and additional sessions beyond a weekly 1:1 session or as a stand alone group session per week.
We make learning fun through a variety of engaging and outside-the-box activities and homework too! Outside of session support and materials is designed to personalise and enhance the group session experience.

How Sessions Work

What will we teach?
We all work together as a team to build your child’s confidence
and fill any gaps. We will also prepare for exams and tests.
Sometimes we will work on topics linked to current school work,
sometimes we might complete tricky school homework but
mostly we will be working on the subjects/ topics agreed at
the outset phone discussion and identified as a result of our
assessments during the initial block (half term).
How will the sessions work?
Sessions will be 30/45 or 60 minutes including feedback to
parents. They will either be at online, at your home or library
sessions at a set time each week. We offer three packages paid
monthly in advance and these include tailored weekly sessions
with feedback and homework plus advice for parents on
schools and how to work best with their own child.
